Geary Higgins and FamilyGeary Higgins moved to Loudoun County in 1977, and will bring integrity, a solid background of service and experience to the position of Catoctin Supervisor.He was born in Baltimore and grew up in Montgomery County, MD. As young man, Geary was a member of the Boy Scouts of America. He worked summers during high school and college. Geary graduated from Winston Churchill high school in 1971. While there, he earned 5 varsity letters in football and wrestling, and was the Maryland State runner-up at 185 lbs. in wrestling.A graduate of Clarion University in Clarion, Pennsylvania, he received a Business Administration degree, with a double major in management and marketing. He attended college on an athletic scholarship for wrestling.Geary married Gail Bettine Higgins in March of 1977 and moved to Loudoun County in October of that year. Geary and Gail have raised three daughters who are all graduates of Loudoun Valley High School where he and his wife were very involved in parent/student activities.

Geary is pro-life and pro-family.  He is also pro-second amendment (for law-abiding citizens).

Currently Geary is the Vice President of Labor Relations for NECA, Inc. in Bethesda, Maryland.

He serves on numerous industry related educational and training boards including: Trustee of the National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee for the Electrical Contracting Industry and the NECA/IBEW Family Medical Care Plan. He is also as arbitrator for the Council on Industrial Relations.

Geary was the Catoctin Representative on the Loudoun County School Board from 2000 – 2004 and was the Chairman of the Personnel Services Committee. He also served on the Discipline Committee and the Legislative and Policy Committee.

Geary and Gail attend Hamilton Baptist Church. They are active members of the congregation and sing in the choir. Geary has also served in numerous other leadership positions in the church.

He has been a Board Member for the Loudoun Museum since 1998. He has served as the Vice President, Treasurer and as Chairman of the Education Committee.
